photo of the week: light changes everything

Light changes everything in photography. Or perhaps I should rephrase that as light IS everything in photography. We have had week upon week of dark, wet winter weather and my trips to photograph The Depot Cinema have been less than satisfactory. Finally there was a brief break in the clouds and I rushed to the site to catch some of the glorious rays. Even better, it was that low, focussed light you can get in winter. As soon as the sun appeared, the jumble of earth and bricks became a defined space of light, shadows and colours dancing across the walls. More photos from this shoot can be found here.
