winter sunlight

After what felt like weeks of cold, grey, snowy weather the sun came out yesterday with almost a feeling of Spring. That low, raking winter sun has a particular light that I wanted to catch as I headed up onto Malling Down, the huge hill that overlooks Lewes from the East. The biting onshore wind on top of the Downs would not let me forget that it was still January.
