Ouse Valley Foods make a wide variety of award-winning jellies, jams and fresh foods in Piltdown, East Sussex. They have recently received four prestigious awards from the World’s Original Marmalade Competition in Cumbria: two gold, one silver and one highly commended. The pace at Ouse Valley Foods is a methodical one: stirring pots, waiting for jelly to strain, cutting mountains of vegetables and fruit. Jewel-like jellies sit outside cooling in the sun waiting to be turned every couple of hours to make sure that the ingredients inside are suspended uniformly throughout the jar.
