photo of the week: Newhaven RNLI

Posted by carlotta on Friday February 5th, 2016 at 7:53am

I was sorting through my work from the last couple of years, and was very pleased to come across these photographs again of a day I spent on the Newhaven RNLI Lifeboat (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). We set out on the weekly Sunday morning training session, but it quickly became an emergency callout that necessitated a rescue by the coastguard helicopter.

I was so impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the all-volunteer lifeboat crew. The service the RNLI provide is always free and unequivocal. We are very lucky to have it. You can donate here to the RNLI. More photos from this shoot can be found here and more of my photographs of working environments can be found here.
