This is the third Lewes Youth Theatre / Sussex Downs College production that I have photographed. Each one has been truly inspiring and this was no exception. Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is set in the gangland culture of 1960s London, to an evocative 60s soundtrack and staging that moved from room to room throughout the 19th-century Town Hall. Hurricane lanterns, fake blood and body bags added authenticity to a literally gut-wrenching play.
Photographs of the other LYT/Sussex Downs productions can be found here and here.
