School photography

Recently I have been working with several local schools on their marketing photographs. Recording the enthusiasm and engagement of children makes for a fulfilling day’s work and is a nice change from my architectural projects. My aim is to capture the essence of everyday school life, avoiding the usual ‘slick’

marketing shots. My most recent job was at the small independent Lewes New School, where active participation in learning is a strong component of the curriculum. This pizza-making workshop is one of a variety of Wednesday afternoon activities and is definitely hands-on education. More photos from this shoot can be found here.
