photo of the week: surreal bluebells

Posted by carlotta on Friday April 22nd, 2016 at 6:39am

I can’t resist carrying on with the spring theme as it is such a magnificent time of year here. After growing up in New England, where it can feel like spring lasts a single day, I revel in this slow awakening of the natural world. One of the glories, of course, are the bluebells. I still find it a surreal experience to be in the midst of a wood where the trees and shrubs look as one would expect but below them, what should be green is purple for as far as the eye can see. More landscape photos can be found here.
