a snow-filled landscape

A rare snowfall on the South Downs simplifies the landscape. It highlights the undulating mounds of the hills and the lines of trees alongside fields. There are even times when the sky is a darker grey than the land. I have been working on photographing the windmill at Ashcombe Down. When the whole world is white, the whiteness of the windmill fits right in.
