the Gentlemen of the Road are on their way

There is great excitement in Lewes as the Mumford and Sons festival preparations heat up. I wandered down to see the construction of the site this warm summer evening and it was quite a thing to behold. The emblematic flags were fluttering everywhere and as I wandered along, I came across the curious sight of a highly decorated upright piano standing on the side of the deserted road. The ancient Priory ruins could be seen behind the growing ‘Priory Market’ where the food stalls will be located, with the looming Kingston Ridge of the South Downs behind. I can’t wait!
