concert programme

I was asked to design a concert programme, at very short notice. The wonderful pianist Mark Swartzentruber was performing at the prestigious Wigmore Hall in London and needed a simple, elegant design for his big night. The brief was for an A3 or A4 size, either folded or with page inserts. I wanted to come up with something simple and slightly unexpected so I folded an A3 sheet like an accordion, the two outside folds making up the front and back covers. There was plenty of space for the programme notes and Mark’s bio on the insides, leaving room on the back cover for an ad for Mark’s cds. I am pleased to say that Mark loved it, and it was elegant enough to be in keeping with the beautiful surroundings of Wigmore Hall. Mark has now asked me to redesign his website.
