music in the park

Music in the nature reserve, actually. The wonderful So Last Century stringband were playing at the Lewes Railway Land festival yesterday and they asked if I could take some updated photos while they were there. I wanted to see if I could place them within the landscape in an interesting way. Luckily, there are some features built into the nature reserve that I thought would work – a boardwalk that curves through tall marshy reeds, and a funny little bridge over nothing much more than nettles. I asked if they could play while I photographed. Their old-time music was so infectious that it was a good thing I could shoot on a high shutter speed because I could not stop my foot from tapping.
