Phoenix Project, day 11

Here is the next instalment of my daily post about the Phoenix Project, a photo documentary about the former industrial site in the heart of Lewes that is now home to well over a dozen vibrant arts and community groups. An exhibit and art trail of the project opens in just over a week.

Sketches of Mexico

I was asked to come down to Cafe des Artistes on Saturday to photograph a performance by Morgan Szymanski, a virtuoso guitarist playing Mexican classical music. I expected that the performance would be beautiful, which it was, but I was taken by surprise by the artwork that was projected behind Morgan as he was playing. It made my job so much easier to get interesting photos of this stunning visual and musical performance. Another extraordinary Phoenix experience for me. More photos of the Cafe des Artistes can be found here.
