photo of the week: beach shrouded in fog

Posted by carlotta on Friday August 21st, 2015 at 2:17am

As my elderly mother and I headed for an early morning walk today, we were surprised to find the beach shrouded in thick fog, since we had left a sunny, ordinary world behind us back at home. Although it is very beautiful, photographing a beach in thick fog has its own challenges. My mother’s retreating figure gave structure and scale to the vague, mysterious landscape around us. More seascape photographs can be found here, more Cape Cod photos are here.
