the Phoenix Project

My newest project is finally getting under way. It has been in the planning stages for what seems like months, but things are finally starting to rev up with this documentary of the Phoenix Estate, an old industrial estate in Lewes. I will be photographing the arts and community groups that have sprung up in the disused foundry buildings over the past 5 years. I am even setting up a dedicated website, www.PhoenixProject.org.uk to showcase the photos as well as being a hub of information about the creative Phoenix people working on the site and the many partners of the project, who are giving support, either financial or otherwise. Here are just a few first photos. Many, many more to come over the next few months.
