Jams, jellies, marmalades, chutneys, pickles, preserves, curds, hollandaise, mayonaise, hummous, pesto… I could go on. The range of food that comes out of the Ouse Valley Foods kitchen in Piltdown is extraordinary. And I haven’t even mentioned all the varieties of marmalades and jams and jellies. I would run out of room here. The indefatigable Julian Warrender, founder and ‘chief pot stirrer’, never stops inventing and creating and has recently added writing to her many other skills. Granny Marmalade and Uncle Tractor is her first children’s book. And I doubt she’ll just stop at one. Back to the kitchen, these photographs are of the team in full swing, making jam and hummous.
